Production process

The color coated aluminum coil is after the aluminum coil is cleaned, chromed, rolled, baked, etc., and the surface of the aluminum coil is coated with paint of various colors, that is, the color coated aluminum coil. The color coated aluminum coil is not easy to be corroded, and the surface layer can be guaranteed for 30 years after special treatment.
What is the production process of the color coated aluminum coil?

1) Leveling

The raw aluminum coil is sent to the production line and leveled by the leveling machine. This step ensures excellent flatness of the product.

2) Cleaning and Pretreatment

The pretreatment of the aluminum coil is repeated by the water jet spray. This method is more effective than the conventional method, and the water can be reused to reduce the energy consumption.
A pretreatment stage is necessary to improve the corrosion resistance of the product and to improve the adhesion of the coating. At this stage, the conversion film is chemically formed on the aluminum surface, and Henan Chalco Aluminum uses the most effective process technology to improve product quality and reduce resource waste.

3) Painting

The painting process is mainly divided into two stages, namely primer and topcoat. In the first stage, the aluminum coil passes through a roll coater and is coated on one or both sides with a primer. After drying, the aluminum coil is passed through a second roll coater, at which time the aluminum roll is coated on one or both sides.

4) Coating curing

The aluminum coil is passed through a curing oven and the temperature is set at a regulated temperature to ensure that the volatiles on the aluminum coil are removed and the coating is fully cured. According to the needs of the coating system, the curing temperature is set between 200 and 300 degrees Celsius, which is the key technical point for ensuring the quality of our products. In addition, in order to protect the environment and control costs, the mist of the solvent is evaporated by high temperature to heat the curing oven.

5) Deep processing

The color coated aluminum coil can be further processed into other shapes: Cutting to length, slitting or compression pattern,etc.
